Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul was happy after helping his team gun down the 132-run target to beat Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets and end their three match loosing streak in IPL 2021.
Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul was delighted with his match-winning 60-run knock as PBKS managed to break their three-match losing streak with a nine-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in Chennai on Friday. Rahul said that Punjab Kings have backed young players like Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Hooda and Shahrukh Khan and these guys have been performing well as PBKS are slowly coming together as a team. Earlier, Deepak Hooda was economical with 1 for 15 in 3 overs, while Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi had the joint-best figures of 2 for 21 as PBKS came up with a spirited bowling performance to restrict MI to 131 for 9. Chasing a modest target of 132, Punjab Kings completed the task with 14 balls to spare. Rahul scored an unbeaten 60 and veteran Chris Gayle remained not out on 43 for the victors.
