Gujarat are up against Kolkata Knight Riders in the first day game of the season where Shubman Gill will be squaring up against his former team
Gujarat Titans will be up against Kolkata Knight Riders in a bid to move to the top of the table in the Indian Premier League. The Hardik Pandya team have been phenomenal this season, winning five out of their six matches.
Even in the absence of Hardik Pandya in the last game, South African David Miller and Afghan Rashid Khan played two blinder innings to win the game for Gujarat against Chennai Super Kings.
Speaking ahead of the game, GT’s pre-auction signing and former KKR player Shubman Gill stated that their game against Kolkata was going to be a hard one.
“KKR have been playing a very aggressive brand of cricket and I think that they are going to come hard at us,” said the former KKR opener.
Stating that this was going to be their first day game of the season Shubman said, “This is going to be our first day game and we have to be mentally prepared for that.”
