Singer Mika Singh remembers KK in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in. KK passed away on May 31 in Kolkata.
Singer KK is no more. He passed away on May 31 in Kolkata. He was only 53 and his passing away left the entire nation in shock. Singer Mika Singh spoke to IndiaToday.in and remembered KK for the human being he was. He also mentioned how he always found KK to be a simple man with no drama whatsoever.
Mika Singh said, "It is heartbreaking. If there is one singer who has done the best and superhit romantic songs in the last 20 years, it is KK bhai," as he remembered the singer. He added, "His talent is inexplicable. He was so simple as a person and that is one quality everyone will remember. Even when he did shows, it would be mostly college shows because he would be happy doing it. He never went overboard with shows too. He would fix 'x' number of shows for a month and that's about it. He was devoid of any drama, not too active on social media, he never judged a reality show. He was a very simple man and it was disheartening to see him pass away this early. He was a great artist."
He continued, "Everyone has to leave the world one day, but the fact that he passed away after giving a performance, which he loves doing, is one thing I takeaway. Legends never die."
On a parting note, with a heavy heart, Mika signed off, "I just hope that his family gets the strength. May his soul rest in peace."
KK, 53, was the voice behind legendary songs like Tadap Tadap, Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana, Aankhon Mein Teri, Zara Sa, Haan Tu Hai, Pal among others. He sang in multiple languages, including Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam.
