KK news: A staffer of the auditorium, where KK was performing on Tuesday evening, allegedly tried to disperse a crowd waiting outside for a glimpse of the singer by emptying a fire extinguisher.
A video of a person spraying the contents of a fire extinguisher amid utter chaos allegedly at the KK show in Kolkata on Tuesday has come to light. Soon after the show ended, singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, collapsed and passed away.
The footage of chaos and poor audience management at the Nazrul Mancha auditorium is exclusively available with India Today. During the show, many KK fans, who didn’t have passes, had lined up outside the auditorium to enter the venue.

However, chaos broke out outside the venue soon, following which the authorities allegedly sprayed a fire extinguisher on the people in a bid to disperse the crowd.
A fan who attended the concert said there was massive crowding. "The capacity of the auditorium was 2,500-3,000. But attendance was almost double," the fan said.
The Kolkata Police has registered an unnatural death case over the death of the popular singer. KK on Tuesday, May 31, collapsed at the Grand Hotel in Kolkata after returning from a show. He was rushed to a private hospital in the city, where he was pronounced dead.
