Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health, along with primary care doctors, held the largest drive-through vaccine clinic in the city so far, vaccinating 5,000 people.
Art McEwen and his wife got their shots Saturday. McEwen says the rising cases was a major factor for booking.
“The new variant and the fact that Christmas is shot,” he says. “So let's get it over with and get back to seeing family in the new year.”
Organizer Dr. Elaine Ma says 100 volunteers came out to make the day happen.
