The youngster had served as a special police officer (SPO) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police in 2018. However, he resigned eight months later after terror groups like Hizbul Mujahideen issued threats. At least three SPOs were killed in terror attacks in south Kashmir, leading to a spate of resignations in September 2018.
