Tribune News NetworkDohaNaseem Al Rashediah, owned by HE Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and bred by Al Rashediah Stud, won gold in the Senior Stallions Championship (Class SSC) of the Arabian Peninsula Horse Championship of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF 2022) being staged at the Katara Esplanade on Saturday. The grey horse stood out with its grace and power to emerge as best in a field of nine qualifiers for the championshipâs finals. The silver position in the prestigious category went to bay horse Asayel Rashiq of Al Reeh Stud, while grey horse Nhaar Al Nasser of Al Nasser Stud claimed the bronze. The Senior Mares Championship (Class SMC) was topped by Menouah Al Rayyan of Al Rayyan Farm. Silver in Class SMC was won by Salma Al Bawady of Al Bawady Stud. Sheikh Abdulla bin Nasser Al Thaniâs grey mare Nardene Al Naif won bronze. D Kâhailan of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud was adjudged best for gold in the Junior Colts Championship (Class JCC) followed by silver winner Nibras Aljassimya of Aljassimya Farm. Al Rayyan Farmâs Yazeed Al Rayyan won bronze in Class JCC. In the Junior Fillies Championship (Class JFC), Yamama Al Nasser, owned by Al Wajba Stud and bred by Al Nasser Stud, won gold. D Ameereyyah of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud got silver. HE Sheikh Abdulla Khalid H A Al Thaniâs owned and bred Ameera Al Waab won the bronze. In the Yearling Colts Championship (Class YCC), Sinan El Alya of El Alya Stud won gold, Theeban Al Rayyan of Al Rayyan Farm, the silver, and Shehab Al Farres, owned and bred by Mansoor Masoud Almarri, the bronze. The opening Yearling Fillies Championship Class (Class YFC) saw D Masheeâah of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud win gold, NK Lara of Doha Stud, the silver, and Gazaa Al Shaqab of Al Shaqab, the bronze. KIAHF 2022 Arabian Peninsula Championship saw a total of 239 horses being showcased and the championships carried a purse of QAR 3,093,500 in addition to in-kind prizes. Abdulaziz Al-Marzouqi, Executive Director of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, expressed his happiness with the victories achieved on Saturday by the stud at the KIAHF Peninsula championship. Their three horses won two golds and one silver. He described the competition as strong in the presence of the best horse breeds in the world. Al-Marzouqi praised the excellent organization of the festival and the ideal atmosphere in which the competitions are being held, pointing out that all the factors of success were available for the competition. He explained that this participation is the first for the Dubai stud, considering the festival and its championships as one of the largest in the region, with the best studs and international farms participating. During the championship, and KIAHFâs day four action, Bader Mohammed Al-Darwish, the Title Show Manager of the Organizing Committee of Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, also honoured the international jugdes officiating at KIAHF 2022. An eleven-member team of judges namely: Machmoum Mohamed, AlHusseini Sufian Taha, Hegazy Nashaat, Ohlsson Kathleen, Al Mesbah Jassim Khaled, Safady Amira, Al Nakeeb Hassanain, Beste Klaus G., Scanzi Fausto, Moschini Christian, and Murillo Kammer is judging at KIAHF 2022. The second edition of KIAHF continues till February 12, and will see The Auction of finest purebred Arabian horses on February 7 (Monday). As many as 32 horses will be up at the auction. Horses from 11 countries including the Arab region, Europe and the USA are participating at KIAHF 2022. KIAHF will see the prestigious Title Show action from February 9-12. KIAHF 2022 has a total prize-money of QAR 17,083,500 and several in-kind prizes including cars from Nasser Bin Khaled and watches from Ali Bin Ali Luxury.
