India Today
Liger producer Charmme Kaur has revealed that Brahmastra song Kesariya did very well in Telugu. The film releases on September 9, 2022.
Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh have co-produced Liger with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film is all set for release on August 25, 2022. It stars Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, Mike Tyson and Ramya Krishnan. Ahead of the film's release, the makers of Liger are going all out to promote the film.
In a recent media interaction, Charmme Kaur was asked why a greater number of pan-India movies are coming from the South as compared to Bollywood. While speaking about the same, Kaur opened up about Brahmastra being a pan-India movie and carrying good feedback in the South.
Responding to the aforementioned question, Charmme said, "I don't know. We have Brahmastra. They are releasing Brahmastra in Tamil and Telugu as well. It is also a pan-India film. Of course, it is slowly going there. And Brahmastra is carrying very good feedback in the South. People are wanting to see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together. Their song Kesariya did very well in Telugu. It was one of the biggest songs in Telugu. So, I think it varies from content to content. We cannot blame all films because of a few films going wrong. Definitely not."
Further, in the interaction, Charmme Kaur spoke about Liger's fate at the box office. The producer said that she is sure of the fact that it will open to huge numbers in the South and overseas.
"I know Liger is opening to huge numbers down South and overseas. 25th August is a Thursday, which is not a very good day for Hindi films. I am aware of that but it was the decision that was taken because on Thursday, numbers are going to be huge in the South," she said.
