Kerala: Youth killed in bomb blast in Kannur

A youth was killed in a bomb explosion in Kerala’s Kannur on Sunday. The bomb explosion left a few people injured.
A youth was killed after a bomb went off in Kerala's Kannur. The incident happened when the deceased Jishnu, 28, was returning to the residence of a newly married couple after the ceremony at 2 pm on Sunday.
Jishnu had come to attend the wedding of a friend here with some of his friends.
Around 50 people were part of the wedding procession. The other injured people are currently under treatment.

During a concert held in connection with the wedding the previous night, two groups of people had entered into a fight. This led to tension the night before itself. A bomb was thrown at the wedding procession that reached home after the ceremony.
Even though some locals were arrested, the police have now concluded that the bomb was thrown by someone in Jishnu's group itself which accidentally hit his head, leading to his death.
