After Swapna Suresh, an accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case, revealed the involvement of the Kerala CM and his officials, the Kerala Youth Congress took out a protest in Trivandrum demanding the CM’s resignation.
The Kerala Youth Congress in Trivandram took out a protest against Kerala Chief Minister Pinnaryi Vijayan for his alleged involvement in the gold smuggling scam. Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said that Swapna Suresh, an accused in the gold smuggling case, had revealed the involvement of the Kerala CM and his officials.
Earlier, former Kerala minister and CPI(M) leader KT Jaleel filed a complaint with the police against the allegations levelled by the Kerala gold smuggling case accused, Swapna Suresh.
“There is a conspiracy hatched by Swapna Suresh and former MLA PC George and BJP,” said KT Jaleel.
Swapna Suresh has filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Kerala High Court in response to the complaint filed against her by former minister KT Jaleel for criminal conspiracy and provocation with intent to cause a riot.
Congress leader Chennithala, on Wednesday, said, “Anti-national activity has taken place in the CM office, we demand his resignation. An inquiry must be done in court. We can't trust central agencies, they have a nefarious design, the BJP is in cahoots with CPM & wants to weaken the Congress.”
He further added, “The startling revelations by Swapan Suresh are unprecedented & shocking. Kerala CM has been accused & his officials are involved in a gold smuggling case. They can't deny this as a political conspiracy.”
