Kerala woman entrepreneur hacked to death in Thrissur; accused absconding

Rincy Nazar ran a textile shop and was cut to death with a knife by one of her former employees, Riyaz. She was returning home with her kids when he overtook her, dashed onto her scooter, killed her and threatened eye-witnesses, before absconding.
A woman entrepreneur was hacked to death in Thrissur on Thursday night, March 17. The deceased, Rincy Nazar, (30) is a native of Mannara Parambu village, and ran a textile shop.
She was returning home with her children on a scooter when one of her former employees attacked her. The accused is Riyaz (25), who worked at Rincy's shop.
The incident happened around 7.30 pm in the night. Riyaz chased Rincy on his bike, overtook her scooter and crashed into it, making her fall. He then took a knife and cut her on her face and hand. Three fingers were detached from her body and reportedly had over 30 wounds in her body.
The people from the neighbourhood arrived hearing the cries of the children. Riyaz threatened those who rushed to the spot. Riyaz is currently absconding.
Earlier, police had let him go with a warning for attacking Rincy's residence. The accused allegedly used to visit the textile shop and threaten her there too.
