Kerala reports another monkeypox case, fifth in the state

The government of India has now made a task force on Monkeypox in India to be headed by Dr VK Paul and Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan among other members.
A day after Kerala confirmed its first monkeypox death, the state reported another case on Tuesday. A 30-year-old man who returned from the UAE on July 27 is undergoing treatment in Malappuram. This is the fifth monkeypox case in the state so far.
“Another monkeypox case was reported in the state. A 30-year-old is undergoing treatment in Malappuram. He had reached Kozhikode airport on 27 July from the UAE,” Kerala Health Minister Veena George said.
