Kerala man arrested for 17-year-old double-murder after he revealed crime to fellow prisoners

Dubbed as ‘Ripper Jayanandan’ in Kerala, the 53-year-old jailed man was arrested in a 17-year-old double-murder case. Police said Jayanandan admitted to killing two elderly persons in 2004 in a conversation with other inmates.
Seventeen years after the double-murder made a sensation in Kerala, the police have arrested a man behind the crime. Identified as Jayanandan and dubbed as ‘Ripper Jayanandan, the 53-year-old man was arrested after he admitted to the killings while talking to other prisoners in the central prison in Thiruvananthapuram.
Jayanandan was kept in the high-security prison in Thiruvanantapuram as he faced eight murder charges. The crimes were committed from 2003 to 2006.
