Kerala High Court gives interim relief to NBA in plea challenging IT rules

A Kerala High Court bench headed by Justice PB SureshKumar passed an interim order of no-coercive action against the NBA. In its plea, the NBA had stated that the new IT rules give the government excessive power to unreasonably restrict media rights.
The Kerala High Court on Friday passed an interim order in favour of the News Broadcasters Association in their challenge to the Centre's new IT rules. Appearing for NBA, senior advocate Maninder Singh cited the interim order granted in favour of Live Law. Taking note of the same, Justice PB Suresh Kumar passed an interim order that no coercive action shall be taken against the NBA under the IT rules.More Related News
