On Wednesday, the Kerala High Court dismissed a petition challenging the recent reappointment of Professor Gopinath Raveendran as the Vice Chancellor of Kannur University in Kerala.

On Wednesday, the Kerala High Court dismissed a petition challenging the recent reappointment of Professor Gopinath Raveendran as the Vice Chancellor of Kannur University in Kerala.

In their petition, Kannur University senate member Dr Premachandran Keezhoth and Academic Council member Dr Shino Jose requested the court to nullify the reappointment on account of his ‘lack of qualification’. They also said that he should be disqualified since he is more than 60 years old.
