Kerala girls killed self over sexual abuse, says CBI chargesheet in 2017 Walayar case
India Today
The CBI has filed a chargesheet in a 2017 rape and death case in Kerala. The CBI chargesheet is not very different from the Kerala Police's report. Both said the girls killed themselves.
Two minor siblings, aged 13 and nine, died in Kerala’s Walayar in 2017 after they were allegedly sexually abused for over a year. The police said they died by suicide. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet reiterating that the girls died by suicide following sexual abuse. The CBI has named five persons, including a minor, for abetting suicide.
The two girls had been found hanging in a shed near their home two months apart in the Palakkad district’s Walayar.
