India Today
Najeeb Vellakkal, owner of a travel company in Kochi, has converted his traveller van into an ambulance amid a surge in Covid-19 cases and resultant shortage of ambulances.
As the second wave of Covid-19 rages on, the owner of a travel company in Kerala’s Kochi has converted his traveller van into an ambulance. Najeeb Vellakkal, a native of Thrikkakara in the Ernakulam district, modified the van at his own expense when he found out that there is a shortage of vehicles for transportation of Covid patients in the state. “I modified the traveller van so that no Covid patient is delayed in reaching the hospital due to lack of a vehicle,” said Najeeb. He added that he is ready to convert his other traveller vans into ambulances if the pandemic gets more severe in Kerala. Najeeb also plans to turn his company’s tourist buses into Covid observation centres.More Related News
