Kerala: Congress workers assault journalists in Kozhikode, police complaint lodged

Journalists covering the meeting alleged that Congress workers attacked them without any provocation.A regional newspaper photographer was injured in the scuffle.

A scuffle broke out between reporters and Congress workers in Kerala’s Kozhikode on Saturday, leaving one scribe injured.

The journalists were covering an alleged secret meeting of a Congress rebel faction at a hotel on Kallai road in Kozhikode. The meeting was chaired by former Kozhikode District Congress Committee (DCC) president U Rajeevan and was attended by followers of senior leader T Siddique.
