Kerala Congress president has warned KV Thomas against participating in a CPM event. Thomas was invited to CPM party congress being held in Kannur. Thomas is yet to decide whether he will attend the event or not.
Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran on Wednesday said that senior leader KV Thomas can take part in the CPM party congress being held in Kannur, but should be ready to get ousted from the party.
Even after Congress denied permission for Thomas to attend a seminar, CPM included Thomas as one of the participants.
"We have already informed leaders as to what will happen if the high command directive to not attend the congress is not followed. KV Thomas can take part in the event only if he is willing to leave the party. I don't think he is willing," said Sudhakaran.
Opposition leader VD Satheesan also made his stand clear, saying he hopes no Congress leader takes part in the CPM party congress being held at a place where many Congress leaders were killed in political violence.
