Congress MP Hibi Eden from Kerala called SFI a terrorist organisation and demanded its ban. This came after a clash broke out between the KSU and SFI at a government college in Thiruvananthapuram, where a woman KSU leader was beaten up by SFI activists.
In the wake of the recent conflict between the CPI (M) students union, Students Federation of India (SFI), and Congress students union, Kerala Students Union (KSU), Congress MP Hibi Eden demanded in the Lok Sabha that SFI should be banned in the state as it is like a terrorist organisation.

The demand was made during the Zero Hour when the MP further explained the reason behind this. He detailed the incident where a woman leader of KSU was beaten up by SFI activists, which was caught on video at the Government Law College in Thiruvananthapuram.
A clash broke out between KSU and the SFI at a government law college in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, March 15. A KSU woman leader and three others sustained injuries in the fight.
