Kejriwal's honesty a joke: BJP's Amit Malviya over alliance with Karnataka farmer leader
India Today
BJP leader Amit Malviya has taken a dig at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal after the AAP national convener announced an alliance with KRSS faction leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar, who was allegedly caught in a sting operation by a news channel.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has now trained its guns on the Aam Aadmi Party over the alliance with Kodihalli Chandrashekar, the leader of a faction of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRSS). Alleging that Chandrashekar was caught admitting to demanding bribes, in charge of BJP's information and technology department Amit Malviya called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's claims of being "honest" a "joke".

"Recently in Karnataka, Arvind Kejriwal inducted Kodihalli Chandrashekhar in AAP. This week, farmer’s union expelled the same Chandrashekhar, after a TV sting showed him demanding 35 crore to end KSRTC employees’ strike, he led in 2021. Kejriwal’s honesty certificate is a joke," Malviya said in a tweet.

Earlier, Karnataka farmers' leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar, who announced his alliance with AAP in April, was quoted by a regional news channel as saying, “We asked for money to call off the bus strike.” Chandrashekar also used Rakesh Tikait and many central farmer leaders’ names.
On May 30, Tikait convened a press conference where he sought to dismiss the allegations. However, purported supporters of Chandrashekar disrupted the proceedings and threw black ink on the farmer leader.
