The BJP MLA from UP’s Muzaffarnagar, Vikram Saini, created a controversy when he advised traders to keep stones, shovels and pistols in their shops for safety.
BJP MLA Vikram Saini from Khatauli seat of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh came into the limelight for a controversial statement. In a video viral on social media, the MLA was seen giving safety tips to the traders of the city. MLA Saini said that people should keep stones, shovels and pistols in their respective shops. “How long will the police work? By the time the police come, your shops are set on fire”, said Saini.
On Saturday, Khatauli MLA gave this provocative statement in Wajidpur Kavali village of Jansath tehsil area. A ceremony was organized to honor Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan and BJP MLA Vikram Saini for winning the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections with a thumping majority.
In this program, BJP MLA Vikram Saini, while addressing the villagers from the stage, gave a controversial speech, which was captured by a person on his mobile and went viral on social media.
The MLA said, "Keep one or two boxes of stones, 4-5 shovel bents (agricultural equipment) and two pistols in your shops. How long will the police work? Where are the police? By the time the police come, they set your shops and houses on fire.”
When the leaders present on the stage tried to stop, Vikram Saini said, "Let me speak today. Print it in newspaper or show it on TV. No one can remove me for 5 years. I have no desire further."
