Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy criticizes BRS MLA Harish Rao's statement on Revanth Reddy, challenges him to include BC leader in party.
Congress MP from Bhongir, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, ridiculed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA T. Harish Rao’s claim that former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spoke of the ‘language of agriculture’ while the present Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was speaking the ‘language of death’.
Mr. Reddy said the ‘language of agriculture’ reflected when the ₹1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram project collapsed within three years, leading to destruction, and the State is paying for KCR’s language. He objected to Mr. Revanth Reddy’s language being termed as ‘language of death’ implying the latter’s policies are detrimental.
Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said it was KCR who introduced abusive language to Telangana politics and continued it for 10 years. If at all someone spoke the ‘language of death’, it was KCR, he alleged. He said Mr. Harish Rao was trying to impress his uncle KCR, but his place in the BRS was shown when his pictures were taken out from the posters of the proposed silver jubilee celebrations of the party.
The Congress MP challenged Mr. Harish Rao to accommodate a Backward Class (BC) leader as the BRS party president or working president in its silver jubilee year at least. At least, have the grace to accept what Mr. Revanth Reddy did for Backward Classes by conducting the caste survey, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
