Amitabh Bachchan is back with the 14th installment of the popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, and fans are super-excited. On Day 2, August 8 episode, the hot seat was graced by Dhulichand Agarwal, the first contestant of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. The 62-year-old contestant has done a PhD in Economics and is currently working as a professor at a college in Durg, Madhya Pradesh. Dhulichand told Big B how the superstar owes him Rs 10 from 1970.
Dhulichand and Amitabh Bachchan engaged in fun banter. During their conversation with Big B, he asked him to call him DC and not Dhulichand.
He said, "During college days, my friends used to tease me by saying what is this name Dhulichand and then one of my friends told me DC sounds too good on you. So please call me DC." Big B replied, "Your name is beautiful and definitely you will feel good but to us it will sound like current, DC and AC."
Dhulichand then revealed an interesting detail from his life. Dhulichand shared that Amitabh Bachchan owes him money since 1970. He narrated, “I desired to see your film Muqaddar ka Sikandar. I managed to procure Rs 10 somehow and travelled miles to a theatre after making all possible calculations on how this Rs 10, would be spent or be enough for the film to be seen, I stood for hours, with the Rs 10 and by the time my turn came to the Box Office window, a rush for tickets and the stampede of the audience, resulted in the Police being summoned. I got pushed as police did ‘lathi charge’ to disperse the crowd. I fell to the ground and had a head injury. I swore never to see your film again and wished to narrate this incident in front of you and hoped one day perhaps we could see the film together.”
Big B gave him a Rs 20 note and said, ‘with added interest’. He also promised to watch the film with him.
