Kazhakuttam too enters battle mode

With less than three weeks left for the April 6 Assembly polls, the campaigns of all the three fronts are in full swing in the Kazhakuttam constituency.
Sobha Surendran, whose candidature was announced by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday, was given a rousing reception at Karyavattom on Thursday evening. Party workers greeted her by showering flowers and bursting crackers at the Dharmasastha temple from where she began her roadshow through the constituency. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister C.N. Under the NBS, newborns are screened for communication disorders before they are discharged from the hospital. For this, AIISH has collaborated with several hospitals to conduct screening which is performed to detect hearing impairment and other developmental disabilities that can affect speech and language development. The screening has been helping in early intervention for those identified with the disorders, as any delay in the identification poses risk and affects successful management of children with hearing loss, according to AIISH.
