The popular South Korean drama, Something In The Rain, is set to get an Indian remake. The K-drama, starring Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in in lead roles, is being adapted by Pocket Aces’ Dice Media and will be co-produced by JTBC Studios. Directed by Ahn Pan-seok and written by Kim Eun, the series delves into the lives of a man and a woman as their relationship progresses from acquaintances to being a couple.
K-dramas have taken over the world and Squid Game being nominated for Emmys in so many categories is proof. Indian K-drama fans will be excited about the remake of Something In The Rain. Before the makers announce the cast of the Indian version of Something In The Rain, on Wednesday Wishlist, we will look at our dream cast of the series.
Katrina Kaif will be perfect as Yoon Jin-ah, a character that was originally portrayed by Son Ye-jin. Jin-ah is 35-year-old single woman working as a store supervisor in a coffee franchise. Despite being an happy-go-lucky person, her boyfriend dumps her calling her uninteresting. Later, she gets into a secret relationship with her friend's brother, Joon-hee, who is younger to her. The relationship brings positive changes in her life.
Who better than Vicky Kaushal to play Seo Joon-hee? The US-returned animation designer, originally played by Jung Hae-in, who falls for his sister's friend despite their age difference and is ready to take on the world to be by her side. Vicky and Katrina's off-screen chemistry will add tadka to the series.
Radhika Apte will be perfect to play Vicky Kaushal's elder sister and Katrina Kaif's BFF in the series. Actress Jang So-yeon originally played the role of Seo Kyung-seon, who runs a coffee shop. She shared an amazing bond with both Jin-ah and Joon-hee.
Jin-ah's brother Yoon Seung-ho (Wi Ha-joon) plays an important role in the story. Siddhant Chaturvedi, who recently impressed us in Gehraiyaan, will fit perfectly in the role as Jin-ah's younger brother and Joon-hee's best friend.
We would love to see Sheeba Chadh Jin-ah's mother, who is obsessed with getting her daughter married. She wants her daughter to get married in a rich family and doesn't approve of her relationship with Joon-hee.
