It's Canada Day this weekend which means people should expect lots of fun events on Saturday.
But with the holiday on Saturday, there will also be some closures including grocery and other retail stores, government offices and libraries.
The weather looks like it could be wet at times, so be sure to pack away some rain gear along with the sunscreen and water bottles as you head out.
If you need gas to get around the area, here's some local prices:
Saturday, various locations
Cambridge is celebrating 50 years with its event, which includes a parade at 11 a.m. on King Street, then various events at Riverside Park including a midway, a KidZone area, food trucks, 19+ beverage area, Portraits of Honour and musical performances by Fresh Water Funk, Sarah Smith, The Def Bombs and Slave to the Squarewave.
Fireworks are scheduled to get underway just after 10 p.m.
Kitchener will be holding a family friendly concert and fireworks to mark the day.
The concert gets underway at 6 p.m. and includes: Steven Lee Olsen, Robyn Ottolini, Owen Riegling and Amanda Kind. Fireworks will take place after dusk.
There will also be a Block Party in Gaukel Block, the section of Gaukel Street near Victoria Park, where there will be music, a pop-up bar and a vintage shop.
Waterloo will host a community picnic on Saturday with local artists, food trucks and giant games. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the west side of Waterloo Park near the bandshell. There will also be a drone show at 10 p.m.
North Dumfries will mark Canada Day with a community celebration starting at 6 p.m. in Cowan Park behind the North Dumfries Community Complex.
It will include a bouncy castle and an interactive hockey game, performances from children's entertainer The Barry O Kidshow followed by Electric Crush. There will be food trucks and then fireworks will be set off after 9:45 p.m. People are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets.
In Wellesley Township, the celebration will take place at the Hawkesville Community Centre with backyard games beginning at 7:30 p.m.
