Kasturba Nagar sexual assault: Two more land in police net, 20 arrested so far

A total of 20 people, including four minors, have been arrested so far in the case in which a 20-year-old woman was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and paraded by a group of people.
Two more accused were arrested on Sunday in the Kasturba Nagar sexual assault case, said police.
A total of 20 people, including four minors, have been arrested so far in the incident in which a 20-year-old woman was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and paraded by a group of people in east Delhi's Kasturba Nagar on January 26.
Two persons arrested on Sunday have been identified as Rajesh, 43, and Darshan Singh, 41.
Rajesh had been absconding since the incident, while his wife and two daughters, also accused in the case, were recently arrested and sent to judicial custody.
Darshan, who is the owner of the auto that was used to abduct the victim, was also on the run.
On Thursday, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana had said that a charge sheet in connection with the January 26 incident will be filed in the minimum possible time and the court will be urged to conduct a speedy trial.
Police had said the preliminary investigation indicated that the woman and a boy belonging to the family of the accused were friends.
