Kashmiri Pandits should return to their homeland, says RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale

RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale addressed the global Kashmiri Pandit community and appealed to them to return to their homeland.
RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale appealed to the Kashmiri Pandit community to return to their homeland, saying the priority should now be to ensure their rehabilitation.In a virtual address to the Kashmiri Pandit community on their new year (Navreh), Dattatreya Hosabale said India was at crossroads given the positive change that was sweeping Kashmir valley."For Kashmiri Pandits, it needed a Sankalp, a unified resolve, to give direction and specificity to the future vision," he said. He wished that Kashmiri Pandits celebrate their next new year in the Valley.Holding the terrorists responsible for Kashmiri Pandits being forced to flee their homeland, Hosabale said there should be no displacement of the community from the Valley in the future.HOSABALE CELEBRATES ICONS OF KASHMIRCalling them examples of sacrifice and bravery, Hosabale hailed Sirya Bhatta and Lalitaditya as two icons of Kashmir. He also shared the story of Guru Tegh Bahadur, who fought for the Kashmiri Pandits.He also pointed out that Khir Bhavani, Martand and Avantipura temples required urgent repair and revival. He expressed the desire that Sharada Peeth University should be reborn.GLOBAL KASHMIRI PANDIT DIASPORA (GKPD)Hosabale empathised with the pain and suffering of the Kashmiri Pandits, who had to face unremitted violence and lost their lives, land, and way of life, being reduced to Internally Displaced People.Utpal Kaul, Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) India Coordinator stated, "Hosabale’s highly motivating speech and commitment to the Kashmiri Pandit cause is consistent with their long-term support. Guru Golwalkar played a key role in convincing the Maharaja to accede to India. During the horror of 1990, RSS gave humanitarian aid and support to the community."Nirja Sadhu, International Coordinator of GKPD, stated, "Hosabale’s talk represents the first step in the engagement of the Kashmiri Pandit community with the dharmic forces. We thank RSS for giving a clear call that the Hindu civilisational heritage of Kashmir should be brought back to life through a partnership between the government and civil society."
