
Karthi completes 15 years in Kollywood, pens sweet note about his debut film Paruthiveeran

Karthi has completed 15 years in Tamil films. As his debut film Paruthiveeran turns 15, he wrote a special note about his journey.
It has been 15 years since Karthi stepped foot in Kollywood. He made his debut with director Ameer's Paruthiveeran. To celebrate the special occasion, Karthi shared a sweet note about his film journey. In his note, the actor wrote that he feels blessed to have started his journey in Kollywood with Paruthiveeran. The film is regarded as one of the best romantic dramas of all time.
Karthi was last seen in director Bakkiyaraj Kannan's Sulthan, which was released in theatres in 2021. Sulthan turned out to be a profitable venture for producers and distributors.
As he completes 15 years in films, Karthi took to Twitter to share a sweet note with the caption, "A big thank you! 15 Golden Years since #Paruthiveeran! (sic)."
His statement read, "I feel blessed to have started my acting career with that film. Every move of mine was designed and tutored by Ameer sir and all the credit goes to him. Of the many lessons learnt, I still treasure the way he taught me to immerse myself and enjoy the work that I do. Thanks to Ameer sir, Gnanavel Anna, my dear fans and media for ushering me into this beautiful path! (sic)."

Karthi will be seen next in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. He will essay the role of Vallavaraiyan Vandhiyathevan in the historical fiction film. The first part of Ponniyin Selvan will release in theatres in the summer of 2022.
