A 31-year-old woman, who consumed poison in front of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi's house, died at KIMS hospital in Karnataka.

A 31-year-old woman, who consumed poison in front of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi's house, died at KIMS hospital in Karnataka. Veerappa Kannar, a resident of Hubli, had consumed poison on April 6 and died at the hospital while undergoing treatment on Thursday night. Her house had collapsed last year and she had received Rs 50,000 compensation. The woman, who left behind her husband and two small children, claimed the amount wasn't sufficient for reconstruction of her damaged house in a suicide note.
