Karnataka to work with MEA in bringing back its people from Afghanistan

The Karnataka government will work with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to bring back its citizens from Afghanistan.

The Karnataka government nominated senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar, Additional Director General of Police-CID, as the nodal officer to cooperate with the Centre to bring back Karnataka citizens in Afghanistan. Stating that the officer will be coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) regarding residents of Karnataka in Afghanistan, an official statement from the government said that a control room has been established.
