A poster of the Popular Front of India which was pasted on the gate of a school in Karnataka's Shivamogga has been removed following a report on India Today. This hinted at the group's link to the hijab stir.
A poster of the Popular Front of India (PFI) pasted on the gate of a school in Karnataka's Shivamogga once again raised questions about the group's link to the hijab stir in the state. Following a report on India Today, the poster was removed.
The poster said, "Save the Republic" and called for a rally, public meeting and unity march. The poster also had the contact details of the extremist organisation.
Earlier, the Karnataka Home Minister and the Education Minister had said the protesting students were being used as mere pawns by organisations such as the PFI and the Campus Front of India (CFI). The state Home Minister said the relatives and family members of some students have links with the PFI or the CFI and that the issue will be investigated.
