Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Wednesday, March 16, welcomed the Karnataka High Court’s judgement on the hijab row.
During an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said, “I welcome Karnataka High Court's judgement”. “This is a conspiracy to push back Muslim women and young girls into the four walls of their homes. The purpose was to reduce their career prospects,” he added.
“Imagine a woman IPS officer who is responsible for controlling crimes in a district, can she do it wearing a veil?" asked Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
