Amid growing coronavirus cases in the state, the Karnataka government has said the district administration’s permission is mandatory to book marriage halls for events. According to the new guideline, organisers have to also issue passes for guests. These decisions were taken on Saturday after ministers R Ashoka, Basavaraj Bommai and Dr. K Sudhakar held a video conference with DCs, SPs and district health officers regarding the coronavirus pandemic. Organisers will be booked If the number of passes issued extends the capacity of permitted people to attend the event, the latest guideline said.
