The Karnataka government on Thursday extended the lockdown for one more week, till 6 a.m. of June 14. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa announced that though the number of COVID-19 cases were declining, the pandemic was spreading to rural areas. The lockdown would be lifted after June 14 if the cases fall below 5%.More Related News

Former CM B.S. Yediyurappa had challenged the first information report registered on March 14, 2024, on the alleged incident that occurred on February 2, 2024, the chargesheet filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and the February 28, 2025, order of taking cognisance of offences afresh by the trial court.
