Congress's Zameer Ahmed has alleged that former Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy took Rs 10 crore from the BJP to field a JD(S) candidate to contest Basavakalyan Assembly bypoll.
Former Congress Minister Zameer Ahmed has alleged that former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy took Rs 10 crore from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to field a JD(S) candidate from Basavakalyan Assembly seat for the bypolls. The allegation comes ahead of voting in the bypolls to two assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka. The death of legislator B Narayan Rao due to coronavirus in September last year has necessitated the bypoll in Basavakalyan. JD(S) had earlier said that the party would not field any candidate to contest the byelections. Now that the party has, Congress has alleged that Kumaraswamy has fielded a candidate after accepting Rs 10 crore from the BJP.More Related News
