Karnataka colleges not to close, offline classes to continue

The colleges in Karnataka will be conducting regular offline classes and the exams will be held as per schedule, said Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan.
The government of Karnataka has decided to not shut down the educational institutes in the states and conduct regular offline classes in colleges after reviewing the current Covid-19 situation, said Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan on Tuesday. The number of Covid-19 cases in Karnataka was on the rise and several educational institutes had decided to conduct their class offline. Due to the approaching exams for college students, the government has decided to continue with offline classes. The semester exams will also be conducted as per the official timetable of the university. After chairing a meeting to assess the Covid-19 situation in view of the recent spurt in fresh cases in the state, Mr. Narayan, who holds the higher education portfolio, said it was decided offline classes will continue with strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Covid-19.More Related News
