Karnataka MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stoked a fresh controversy while targeting the Taliban in Afghanistan. Known for making controversial statements, Yatnal said “indigenous Talibanis” should be gunned down. “Because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we Hindus are safe in India. There is a need to gun down indigenous Talibanis [an indirect reference to Taliban sympathisers]. The Talibanis of Afghanistan are killing others. If we do not, Hindus will not survive and India also will not survive.”More Related News
