Karishma Tanna’s haldi and mehendi looks reminded us of Mouni Roy. Read on to know why.
Actresses Mouni Roy and Karishma Tanna recently tied the knot with their beaus Suraj Nambiar and Varun Bangera respectively. Both the divas put their best fashion foot forward and rocked stunning bridal looks. They embraced traditions but also managed to add a dash of contemporary aesthetics to their bridal repertoires. Their mehendi and ceremony looks were quite similar too. Wondering how? Well, read on.
Karishma Tanna’s wedding revelries kickstarted with a haldi ceremony in Mumbai on February 3. For the special ceremony, she slipped into a white sharara suit from the label Sukriti and Akriti. The all-white ensemble featured intricate embroideries on the sleeveless kurti and the flared sharara pants. A matching dupatta with golden trimmed borders completed the look.
She accessorised her look with fresh floral jewellery designed by Floral Art by Srishti.
Interestingly, Mouni Roy had also sported an all-white look for her haldi ceremony in Goa on January 26. She rocked a lehenga set designed by her stylist friend Anuradha Khurana. Her ensemble also featured delicate embroideries in white but also came with a statement golden border.
Mouni also accessorised her look with white floral jewellery. However, unlike Karishma, she opted for silk floral jewellery from the label Prune.
Not just haldi, the mehendi looks of both the actresses were also similar. Karishma Tanna and Mouni Roy glowed in yellow ensembles for their respective celebrations. While Mouni opted for a voguish lehenga set, Karishma kept it traditional in a bandhani lehenga.
Mouni Roy slipped into a Payal Singhal creation featuring an asymmetrical-hem blouse adorned with cascading tassels. It also featured shell detailing around the neckline to complement Goa’s beachy vibe.
