Kareena Kapoor says 'working with Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma transformed me'

Kareena Kapoor called Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma 'actors from a different realm'. She is sharing the screen space in the adaptation of Devotion of Suspect X.
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently wrapped up the shoot schedule of Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming film, which is the adaption of The Devotion of Suspect X, in Kalimpong. When the actress was offered this role, she did not want to miss out on the opportunity to share the screen space with talented actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. This is the first time that Kareena has collaborated with the Kahaani director.
Based on the 2005 Japanese novel of the same name by Keigo Higashino, The Devotion of Suspect X will stream on Netflix. Kareena Kapoor opened up on working with Jaideep Ahlawat while talking to PTI. The actress called Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma 'actors from a different realm. She said that working with the duo turned out to be a transformative experience for her.
"I try to do different things at every curve. When Sujoy offered me the film and told me the cast, I jumped at it. Working with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma has really transformed me. It made me believe in different things because they are actors from a different realm. It has added a lot of freshness to me and my character," said the Jab We Met actress.
Kareena Kapoor revealed that her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, asked her to give her best shot since the two actors in "top form". She added, "Saif was like, 'You need to be on your toes because these guys are in top form, they are top actors and they know exactly what they are doing."
Kareena Kapoor is eagerly waiting for the release of The Devotion of Suspect X on Netflix. It is expected to stream on the OTT platform by the end of this year or early next year.
Kareena Kapoor, who is soon be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, which will open in cinemas on August 11, will next started working on Hansal Mehta's untitled film from next month. She is also the producer of the along with Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms.
