Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up on knife attack on Saif Ali Khan: An incredibly challenging day for our family

Reacting to the knife attack on her husband Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan has requested for privacy amid the actor’s recovery process

Hours after Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was rushed to the hospital after an intruder attacked him with a knife during an alleged burglary attempt at his residence in Mumbai, the actor’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, has reacted to the incident.

Kareena, a seasoned actor, posted on Instagram about the situation. Thanking people for their support, Kareena asked them to “refrain from relentless speculation and coverage.” “It’s been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded,” she wrote.

“As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculations and coverage,” added Kareena. “I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family,” she wrote further.

According to Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO, Lilavati Hospita, Saif suffered 6 injuries, with one of the injuries being on the back, close to his spine. The knife has been removed from the spot close to the spine of the actor.

After the surgeries, doctors declared that the actor is out of danger and is on road to recovery. DCP Dixit Gedam confirmed that the intruder broke into the house with the intention of burglary. The accused has been identified through the CCTV footage of him using the staircase to escape from the apartment building.
