Ekta Kapoor's captive reality show Lock Upp recently premiered on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer. The show has been in the news for roping in controversial celebrities. The contestants' list includes names like Nisha Rawal, Munawar Faruqui, Poonam Pandey, Karanvir Bohra, Sara Khan, Tehseen Poonawalla, Siddharth Sharma, and Anjali, among others. However, do you know how much these celebs are being paid for their appearance on the show?
The first contestant to be eliminated from Lock Upp was Swami Chakrapani. According to reports, the highest-paid contestant of Lock Upp is social media influencer Anjali Arora, who rose to fame for her Kacha Badam video. She is apparently getting Rs 3-4 lakh a week. Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui is a close second who is reportedly being paid Rs 3-3.5 lakh per week.
Karan Kundrra, who will be seen hosting the show as a jailor, is reportedly getting Rs 2 to 3 lakh per outing. Actresses Poonam Pandey, Payal Rohatgi, and wrestler Babita Phogat are getting Rs 3 lakh a week, according to reports. Meanwhile, former Bigg Boss contestant Sara Khan is being paid Rs 2.5-3 lakh per week.
Karanvir Bohra, Siddharth Sharma and Shivam Sharma are reportedly being paid around Rs 2 lakh per week. Actress Nisha Rawal, who was in the news for her marital dispute, is earning Rs 1.75- 2 lakh a week on Lock Upp, while political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla is getting Rs 1.25 1.5 lakh per week. The show's lowest-paid contestant is Saisha Shinde, who is getting Rs 1 lakh a week, according to reports.
After Godman Swami Chakrapani got eliminated from Lock Upp, there are 12 contestants currently battling to win the show.
