Karan Johar, at a press conference in Mumbai, addressed rumours of him sidelining Sara Ali Khan and being biased towards Janhvi Kapoor on the second episode of Koffee With Karan 7.
Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan has been making all the noise. The show's second episode featured Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. After the episode aired, many fans pointed out that Karan was favouring Janhvi throughout the episode. At the Liger trailer launch in Mumbai, Karan Johar addressed the issue and denied taking Janhvi's side.
Karan Johar was questioned during a press conference about ignoring Sara and favouring Janhvi during the second episode. He denied it and said that he knew the girls since they were 3 years old. He said, "That's completely untrue. I was just feeling bad because Janhvi Kapoor lost both the rounds. She lost the rapid fire round and she lost the game round. I was perhaps just trying to be nice. In that process, I think everybody read it wrong. I love them both dearly, they are not only both wonderful artistes and girls but they are kids I have known like ever since they were possibly three year old so there is not a question of a bias, not with them, not ever.”
He said, "I am tracking back to before the pandemic. I don't know the level of your friendship today, but I don't remember there being any. I remember that you both have dated siblings before."
Sara and Janhvi were taken aback and asked each other if they knew these questions would be asked. Karan then added, "I mean it was the past. You both dated two brothers. And the commonality between the three of us is that they both used to live in my building."
Fans went and did some digging and the best guess is that the brothers were Veer Pahariya and Shikhar Pahariya. The duo is Union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's grandsons.
