Kanpur Police lathi-charged e-bus drivers who were allegedly protesting over not receiving their salaries on time. The drivers said that during the recruitment process, the authorities demanded Rs 1-2 lakh.
Bus drivers accused the authority of not receiving salaries on time.
On Wednesday, the bus drivers stopped operations at the charging station at Ahirwa, accusing them of recovering in recruitment and not giving salary.
The drivers created a ruckus at the e-bus charging station located at Chakeri's Ahirwan. Drivers alleged that one to two lakh rupees were taken from them during the recruitment.
They were also assured of receiving a salary of Rs 16,000-17,000 per month. Now, neither they are being paid on time nor are they getting their recruitment money back.
Since most of the drivers are from out of district, it is becoming difficult to run their family. Along with this, they are also being removed from their job.
At the same time, the management is not ready to say anything in this matter.
