Kanishka Soni reveals a big producer's son physically abused her, disfigured her face | Exclusive

In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Kanishka Soni levelled allegations against a producer's son who she claimed physically abused her. Kanishka is currently trending due to her decision to marry herself.

Kanishka Soni is trending big time due to her decision to marry herself. This concept of sologamy has interested netizens who want to know more about the TV actress, who is now settled in the US. However, it wasn't a decision that Kanishka took overnight. A slew of bad experiences like casting couch, etc, made her take this step. And now, in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Kanisha revealed that a big producer's son had proposed marriage to her, but later physically abused her.

Kanishka Soni bared her heart out to IndiaToday.in and said, " A few years ago, a big producer's son had proposed me for marriage. He did a lot to impress me and drew me emotionally towards him. He said that, professionally, he wasn't doing well, so he wanted to settle down and have kids. So I said yes to marrying him, and that's when he showed me his true colours. He didn't let me work, he spoiled my career. I used to get a lot of good work without being asked to compromise. But that guy broke my phone, didn't let me go out at all. He kept me confined."

Kanishka Soni added, "He was very violent. He wasn't working, so he couldn't tolerate seeing that I am independent. There was this time when I had a shoot and this guy beat me up so bad that my face got swollen. He kept hitting me continuously that day before my shoot. He used to beat me up often without any reason. He even threw me around the room. I begged to leave but he threatened to kill me and my family. I couldn't go to my shoots and my name was ruined. My career was spoiled eventually. I decided I won't leave him so that he doesn't do this to any other girl. I kept on being with him for two years, hoping he would change. He then cheated on me with several women. I would wait for him all night to come back from his parties. I have cried a lot because I really loved him."

Kanishka concluded, "Since that chapter closed, I haven't dated anyone. I go out on long drives alone, take myself out. I am scared to be with a man."

After completing her education, Kanishka Soni appeared on the reality show Bathroom Singer on Filmy TV. She is known for playing Daisaa's daughter-in-law in Diya Aur Baati Hum. Other shows that she has appeared in are Do Dil Ek Jaan, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev on Life Ok, Begusarai, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanumaan and Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala. She was seen as Devi Ganga in Devi Adi Parashakti on Dangal TV.
