While the court exempted Kangana Ranaut from attending the Javed Akhtar case hearing on January 4, it agreed to hear the matter further on February 1, including Akhtar's demand for a Non-Bailable Warrant against Ranaut for non-appearance.
The 10th Metropolitan Magistrate court in Mumbai granted an exemption from appearance on Tuesday, January 4, to actor Kangana Ranaut while hearing the complaint that has been filed against her by Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee, appearing for Ranaut, sought exemption from her appearance while stating that the actor was travelling and she was also under the weather. He further added that the actor had already stated that her plea could be recorded by her lawyer and so her presence was not really needed.
