The biopic on J Jayalalithaa, Thalaivi, was set to hit the screens on April 23. However, due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the film starring Kangana Ranaut, has been postponed.
On April 9, the makers of Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi took to Twitter to announce that they have postponed the release of the film due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the country. Directed by Vijay, the film was set to release on April 23. The statement read, “Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all languages on the same day. But with an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases, even though our film is ready for release on April 23, we want to extend our support towards the government and have decided to postpone the release of Thalaivi (sic).”More Related News
