Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday removed David Warner from the captain's post and handed it over to Kane Williamson for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the franchise confirmed while also stating that they will be making some changes to their overseas combination for the next game. SRH are languishing in last place on the IPL 2021 points table with just 1 win from 6 games so far. They will next face Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 2. Notably, Williamson had led the team in the 2019 season when Warner was serving out his one-year ball-tampering ban. SRH had made it to the playoffs and finished fourth in the competition under the New Zealand skipper's leadership.
