Kamala Harris Jokes About The 1 Thing Trump Can't Do In Surprise 'SNL' Cameo

Harris appeared alongside Maya Rudolph, who plays the vice president on "SNL," in the show's pre-Election Day episode.
Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend to mock Donald Trump while giving a pep talk to Maya Rudolph, who plays the vice president on the NBC comedy sketch show.
“I’m just here to remind you, you got this because you can do something your opponent can not do. You can open doors,” joked Harris, referring to the GOP nominee struggling to open a garbage truck door at a recent campaign stunt.
The vice president was initially scheduled to head to Detroit on Saturday but instead made the unannounced trip to “SNL” to appear on its final episode before Election Day.
She joins a number of presidential candidates who have appeared on “SNL” over the years including Trump in 2015, Hillary Clinton that same year and Barack Obama in 2007.
The vice president’s cameo arrived in the show’s cold open when Rudolph — during a mock final campaign stop in Pennsylvania — wished that she could talk to someone who has been in her “shoes,” a Black and South Asian woman running for president “preferably from the Bay Area.”
